What they say:
Part of the Boost line of performance golf shoes, the adidas Adipower Boost BOA’s main focus is innovative technological performance coupled with cushioned comfort. The special Boost foam is designed for a more trampoline effect than traditional EVA midsole foam. This shoe differentiates itself from the normal Adipower Boost by its BOA closure system, which basically ensures a more precise, snug fit. The outsole uses Puremotion Gripmore technology, which is essentially a hybrid of spiked and spikeless shoes.
Technology:
*Boost midsole foam in heel – Boost foam is comprised of thousands of TPU energy capsules fused together that deliver energy return and responsiveness. In a sense, it has a more trampoline effect than traditional EVA midsole foam.
*Bounce foam in forefoot – Delivers more power at impact
*Fit sleeve tongue – More snug fit
*Puremotion outsole with Gripmore tread – Comprised of numerous lugs/nubs of varying sizes along with non-replaceable spikes. Rubber traction at heel and toe.
*External heel counter – Wider heel outsole for increased stability
*Soft microfiber leather upper
*Fitfoam PU sockliner – Increases overall cushion and comfort
*BOA closure system – Wire closure system by dial on the tongue. Ensures more precise fit and doesn’t loosen during play.
*Wider forefoot

What we say:
For those of you looking for a top performance shoe, the adidas Adipower Boost BOA could be the one. It boasts innovative technology in just about every part of the shoe. How much this technology directly benefits the golfer and how much of it is just fancy words is subjective. Having said this, the Puremotion Gripmore sole is great for traction and walking, and is at the forefront of effective grip technology. We can say for certain that cushioned comfort is a major reason why people are so happy with the shoe. With the price recently lowered, the Adipower Boost BOA is fiercely competitive with other top performance golf shoes. Whether or not the BOA system is worth the extra $40-$50 is up for debate. While we do like the extra precision, it comes down to budget in the end.
