The Callaway Oceanside LX is obviously very similar to the original Oceanside. However, there are plenty of differences that warrant a separate review. The most noticeable difference is the material of the upper, where the Oceanside is mostly mesh, the Oceanside LX is leather and microfiber. While this enhances waterproofing somewhat (the Oceanside is already quite waterproof) it takes away some breathability. In our humble opinion, the leather upper adds style and elegance to the shoe, making it one of our favorite Callaway golf shoes in terms of fashion. With its spikeless Dura-Rubber outsole, the Oceanside LX is versatile, which makes it wearable off the course as well. When it comes to performance, we felt the Oceanside LX is slightly less supportive than the original, but not by much. We recommend the Oceanside LX for golfers of all abilities who value comfort, style and affordability.
