The ECCO Base One golf shoe was designed for beginners looking for an entry-level, spiked golf shoe. Nothing really stands out, yet nothing is really lacking, which does indeed make this a good shoe for beginners. Our only complaint is the price, which we think should be a bit lower for a golf shoe of these performance standards. If you're planning on playing a lot and improving rapidly, the Base One perhaps isn't the best choice. However, if you're out on the course on occasion, and are satisfied with your novice abilities, this shoe is recommended.
