The New Balance Golf 518 is designed for hot, dry conditions. It's not waterproof, and isn't meant to be. However, it does keep your feet ventilated and cool. It is also meant to be affordable, which means it lacks features that many other golf shoes enjoy, and thus can't be recommended for all. In fact, we can only really recommend the Golf 518 for beginners to perhaps average golfers. They aren't as comfortable as other New Balance golf shoes, and lack good support and overall performance.
