What they say:
Bringing minimal running technology to golf, the New Balance Minimus Tour golf shoe brings you closer to the course for a more natural feel and fit.
*Synthetic upper - Features Fantom Fit support, which makes it more light weight and adds support
*REVlite midsole - 4mm midsole drop for added stability. Provides lightweight cushioning and responsiveness
*Ortholite insole technology – Makes shoe more breathable and wicks moisture
*NDurance rubber outsole with Champ Slim-Lok Zarma Tour spikes - NDurance outsole adds flexibility. Slim-Lok spikes are easy to insert/remove and are green-friendly while simultaneously providing low-profile grip.
What customers say:
Pros – Comfortable, perhaps better for flat feet
Cons – Heel slippage
Cases of spikes coming loose
Synthetic upper feels a bit cheap
What we say:
The New Balance Minimus Tour is practically the same as its sister, the Minimus SL, except it features spiked traction. It doesn't stray far from other New Balance golf shoes in terms of looks and performance. It features REVlite midsole technology that provides the same (if not better) comfort of other midsoles while dropping you 4mm closer to the ground, which enhances feel. This of course, is not for everyone. It does take some getting used to, as you will be shorter than with most other golf shoes. Along with comfort and enhanced feel, you get a highly waterproof golf shoe that offers adequate support for a decent price. We really like the combination of the flexible NDurance outsole with Slim-Lok spikes, which provides reliable, flexible grip.
