Originally made for marathoners, the style and feel of the New Balance Women's 574 SL Golf Shoe really is more like a running shoe. However, the big noticeable difference is that it's leather instead of mesh, which helps a bit with waterproofing and support, but takes away some breathability. Aside from style, what we love about the 574 SL Women is how comfortable it is. The innovative cushioning is very responsive and feels light. We were a bit concerned that the 10mm drop midsole would take away some of the cushioning, but we didn't notice and difference. Additionally, this dropped midsole gets you closer to the ground for enhanced feel during the swing. This being said, it does take some getting used to, as it does feel a bit different. All in all, the Womens 574 SL is great for walking the course year-round.
