As the name implies, the Skechers GO GOLF Max - Fairway is identical to the original GO GOLF Max except that its upper is entirely mesh instead of synthetic and mesh. In our opinion, this slight difference makes the Max - Fairway more breathable than the Max, but just a tad less waterproof. The Skechers GO GOLF Max - Fairway is all about comfort. If you desire something extremely comfortable and lightweight, this could be the golf shoe for you. It honestly feels more like a running shoe than a golf shoe. It's also quite good for year-round play in that it's breathable and has decent waterproofing. However, the GO GOLF Max - Fairway lacks in a few areas. For one, we just don't think it looks all that great. This is obviously a subjective matter, but we do think it looks better in the photos. Secondly, perhaps due to the fact that it is designed more like a running shoe, the GO GOLF Max - Fairway doesn't offer a whole lot of support. Don't get us wrong, the traction is certainly sufficient, but the overall support of the foot during the swing isn't quite what we were hoping for. We recommend the GO GOLF Max - Fairway for beginner to intermediate golfers who walk a lot, and need something very comfortable and lightweight.
