What we say:
The Under Armour Showdown SL Sunbrella is very similar to its cousin, the UA Showdown SL. In fact, aside from the material of the upper, everything is the same, which is a good thing. The Showdown SL Sunbrella is made up of of a kind of canvas/textile/mesh material, whereas the Showdown SL is leather. This has a significant impact on the shoe, both in terms of style and performance. In regards to style, the sunbrella upper turns it into more of a casual golf shoe, and perhaps looks more at home off the course than the original Showdown SL. Performance-wise, the sunbrella upper adds a bit of breathability but takes way a considerable amount of waterproofing, so it is definitely give and take. What remains constant among the two shoes is awesome style, comfort and traction. The Rotational Resistance outsole is perfect for walking and grips really well. We recommend the UA Showdown SL Sunbrella for mid handicappers who value style, versatility, comfort and of course, grip.
