What struck us immediately about the ECCO Ladies BIOM G5 BOA golf shoe was its year-round wearability. The high-quality, genuine leather and mesh upper is very waterproof thanks to the addition of Gore-Tex, yet still breathes surprisingly well due to the performance leather and mesh. This ECCO womens golf shoe is also extremely comfortable, with the inlay sole providing plenty of fit options since it's removable. The spiked traction system is fantastic, which feels good when walking (for spiked traction) and grips solidly on every surface you'll encounter on the course. Overall, the BIOM G5 BOA Women sticks quite close to its predecessors in terms of feel and performance. While it is definitely on the higher-end of the cost spectrum, you do get what you pay for. The Women's BIOM G5 BOA will last a long time, and we recommend it for those who don't mind dishing out the bucks on comfort and quality. To state the obvious, only difference between this BOA version and the original Ladies BIOM G5 is, of course, the BOA fit system. It adds that extra bit of micro-adjustability that traditional laces just can't. However, whether or not it's worth the $30 extra is highly subjective.
