The PUMA ALPHACAT NITRO is basically a slightly improved version of the original PROADAPT ALPHACAT. Aside from aesthetic differences, we felt the biggest change between the two was that the NITRO feels just a bit more supportive and responsive. This is most likely due to the NITRO midsole, which is the latest, most innovative midsole cushioning PUMA has to offer. As with the original ALPHACAT, there are two aspects of this golf shoe that we love. One of these is its excellent combination of breathability and waterproofing. It won't overheat on hot days, and will keep your feet dry on rainy days. The other aspect we love about the ALPHACAT NITRO is its traction system. They placed the various traction lugs and ridges in just the right places and angles, creating a feeling of being locked to the ground during the swing. We recommend the PUMA ALPHACAT NITRO for the mid-level golfer in search of year-round wearability and reliable performance.
