The PUMA PROADAPT ALPHACAT Disc is exactly the same as the original PROADAPT ALPHACAT, save for the disc closure system. At the same price, we definitely prefer the disc version as it offers that extra bit of ease in finding the perfect amount of tension in the upper. The PUMA PROADAPT ALPHACAT Disc is a reliable, year-round golf shoe. As far as PUMA golf shoes are concerned, it doesn't perform on-par with our favorites, but it certainly is durable and sturdy. The one real standout feature we love about the PROADAPT ALPHACAT Disc is the traction system. It feels amazing for walking and yet grips incredibly well on the golf course, and on any surface for that matter. The traction lugs/ridges are strategically placed to keep you grounded during the swing. As we already said, the PROADAPT ALPHACAT Disc is both breathable and waterproof, which makes it ideal for those who don't want to keep changes shoes for different weather conditions. While the traction is fantastic, the support isn't quite as good. It does the job, but those with more foot action/speed may require a bit more lateral and medial support.
